Flowering fiercely is like this simple dandelion blossom made electric by its own energy, focus, and protection!

Flowering Fiercely!

I recently had an experience that illuminated so much. I illuminated myself. Wide-raging, wild-ranging connections fired throughout me like synapses that had lain dormant.*

The firing continues: these are my notes from mid-flowering.

Here’s What I Mean: Fiercely Protecting Our Flowering Softness

Flowering is self-development.

Being fierce about flowering means taking our ongoing, life-long self-development seriously–using the three actions listed below.

In other words, “flowering fiercely” puts two things together that don’t usually come together but must.

The softness and gentleness of flowering are just right, are just sometimes how it feels.

The protectiveness that guards the flowering is fierce, however, and must be.

Three Actions

Here is what we must do to flower forever more fiercely:

  1. Energy: nourish your flowering, feed the flame.
  2. Focus: let go of focusing on anything other than flowering–at dedicated times.
  3. Protection: guard your self-development like a flame in a windstorm. Because there is one out there. Tend it fiercely.

*I like wordplay, even inadvertent. Sometimes inadvertent the best! When I first typed “dormant,” I ended up typing “dormat.” And although I know that’s misspelled, I also know that when we let some part of our self-development go dormant, we are turning ourselves into doormats.
