Abundance Requires Emptiness
Right about this time of year, I find myself thinking:
The Universe must think I’m a badass (because the Universe never gives you anything you can’t handle).
(Of course you’ve seen this on social media. It’s not my original quotation!)
When my apartment building burned down a few years ago, I absolutely felt like a badass.
When we came home last week after 10 days on the road to no running water, part of me definitely felt this way.
But when a dear one stopped talking to me a couple of years ago, I didn’t feel this way.
What makes the difference? Resistance to what I’m receiving.
What makes the greatest difference to my abundance and to my manifestation is my ability to work with what comes toward my goal. I don’t mean my ability to abandon my goal, or accepting what I’m receiving as the Universe’s goal for me.
I mean working with what comes as exactly the Universe’s answer to my request for what I wanted.
What are you receiving right now that you may or may not want?
Especially in this season.
I welcome emptiness, dark times, and old hurts surfacing because I am strong enough now to watch them arise, which often heals them all by itself–and allow them to depart as accretions on my true nature.
Another way I could ask this question at this point in this particular season:
Where are you being emptied? What is being taken from you? What are you losing? Do you like it or not?

Posted at 03:06h, 05 JanuaryWhere are you being emptied? I am being emptied of roles. As a pastor, my role came with a respect and projection.
What is being taken from you? The illusion of money. LOL.
What are you losing? The attachment to my former connection to evangelicalism. I felt some loyalty to them even though I completely don’t agree with their representation of Christianity.
Do you like it or not? I am grateful for all of the changes. i know that the Universe fills all emptiness.

For me, what we call “emptiness” is an active principle, the active principle. Everything else is clothing on the emptiness. This is where I find G-d, it is what I Am also. Thank you!

Posted at 20:38h, 03 JanuaryPedro, hi and thank you again for commenting. I would love to know more, specifically one of the questions I ask at the end of this post because I see you in the air. Perhaps you and I are less interested in what is being taken from you and what you are losing; those aren’t the places you and I would focus once we let go of the trapeze bar, we don’t look back. Right?
But I am interested in hearing (if you care to share) what you are receiving right now, in this place? And last, if you would like to share, what did you ask for that this is in answer to?

Posted at 18:46h, 03 JanuaryThese are interesting questions. I am currently in the Mystery. I have let go of the trapeze bar that I was holding onto. I am am in the air. And, I am not sure if the other bar is headed my way. I have let go of everything because it is the only option to receive everything.
